《2019香港小姐競選》日前進行首次面試，當中不乏樣貌或舉止被評為「騎呢」的參賽者，2017年港姐冠軍、曾被網民取笑似「哨牙蘇」的雷莊兒（Juliette）在社交網民直言有人隨意發文批評他人的外表，非常噁心，又鼓勵被網民嘲諷的參賽者，要積極面對負面評論。

Juliette指有留意相關報道，認為有些人過於自我中心，又不斷發放負面能量，批評者沒有同理心、同情心及對愛與人性的正確價值觀，感到非常惡心，認為要無視及忘記這些批評者，不要被負能量侵蝕。
Last night, my dad sent me some articles related to the first round of auditions for Miss Hong Kong 2019. It reminded me how disappointed I was (and still am) to see how some people could write, speak or express such nasty things about a person’s appearance without knowing anything about them. It’s a disgusting attitude. Frankly, I don’t want to go off on this since it’s probably going to be another reason for haters to ? on me... And especially since #pride just passed in Toronto ?, and how Hong Kong #noextraditiontochina protests have been going on ??, I just want share some words of encouragement. When people get taken over by their ego, their hate and negative energy and share it on such a large & public volume, there is nothing else in their mind except that. They can’t feel empathy & compassion and don’t have a real sense love & humanity. So we must ignore, forget, cancel it out or educate them with good vibes. But in the end, who cares? ? What matters is YOU and what you do in life to contribute to society and humanity. It’s a brave thing that you took a first chance on yourself and walked out onto that spotlight. ? So despite the negativity you may have faced in this material & cut throat industry but beautiful city, I hope you were able to take away a positive experience under those lights. Juliette更為未來師妹打氣道：「給你自己及你的夢想一個機會，抬起頭、保持自信同笑容，為你自己自豪吧。祝今年港姐參賽者好運。」當年她當選後受到不少網民嘲笑，指她牙齒太「突出」，但她直言牙醫男友不覺得她需要矯形牙齒，不過依然受到不少網民批評。
