高比拜仁與二女吉安娜在美國時間26日遭遇直升機意外，連同機師9人罹難。相隔3日高比拜仁的妻子雲妮莎終有回應，她說全家感覺完全崩潰，但會因為高比而努力活下去，同時前路亦會有吉安娜的光照耀著：「我們對對他們的愛是無窮盡、無可限量。」
高比拜仁離世後，圈內、外好友均發文悼念，全世界都發起各式各樣的悼念活動，各球隊也在比賽中以自己的方式向高比拜仁致敬，不過高比拜仁一家始終保持沉默。事發當日，雲妮莎未有登上死亡直升機而逃過一劫，不少人都為她們一家送上祝福，望她們能克服傷痛。

雲妮莎在美國時間周三（1月29日）終在社交媒體發文，她坦言孩子們與她都收到都過百萬人的祝福，而在這段可怕的日子，她非常感激大家，因為她們非常需要這種溫暖：「我們突如其來的失去了美好的丈夫、美妙的父親高比拜仁，以及我可愛、美好的吉安娜，我們完全崩潰，我們同樣為在慘劇中失去親人及愛人的人感到極度傷心，我們一同承認痛楚。」

頃刻間失去了兩個至親，對於雲妮莎來說，筆墨難以形容其痛楚：「我在知道高比與吉安娜兩人如此深愛對方而取得安慰，我們非常榮幸有他們出現在我們生命當中，我希望他們永遠與我們在一起，他們是我們最美麗的祝福，但是上天太早從我們手中帶走他們。」雲妮莎又直言，未來不知道憑何而活，難以想像生命中缺少了他們。

不過高比拜仁留下的，還有其黑曼巴精神，雲妮莎知道高比拜仁一定想她們努力生存：「我們每日起身，便會努力生活，就是因為高比，而我們的女兒吉安娜，亦會為我們照耀前路。我多麼希望能抱抱他們、吻他們、祝福他們，有他們永遠在我們身邊。」

My girls and I want to thank the millions of people who’ve shown support and love during this horrific time. Thank you for all the prayers. We definitely need them. We are completely devastated by the sudden loss of my adoring husband, Kobe — the amazing father of our children; and my beautiful, sweet Gianna — a loving, thoughtful, and wonderful daughter, and amazing sister to Natalia, Bianka, and Capri. We are also devastated for the families who lost their loved ones on Sunday, and we share in their grief intimately. There aren’t enough words to describe our pain right now. I take comfort in knowing that Kobe and Gigi both knew that they were so deeply loved. We were so incredibly blessed to have them in our lives. I wish they were here with us forever. They were our beautiful blessings taken from us too soon. I’m not sure what our lives hold beyond today, and it’s impossible to imagine life without them. But we wake up each day, trying to keep pushing because Kobe, and our baby girl, Gigi, are shining on us to light the way. Our love for them is endless — and that’s to say, immeasurable. I just wish I could hug them, kiss them and bless them. Have them here with us, forever. Thank you for sharing your joy, your grief and your support with us.
