巴黎網球賽祖高域梅利晉級八強

塞爾維亞的祖高域與英國的梅利，繼續為爭逐網球男單年終世界第一戰鬥。兩人在巴黎大師賽雙雙晉級八強。不過，現任「一哥」祖高域晉級過程較為驚險，落後一盤下，反勝保加利亞的迪米杜夫2:1。

在次圈輕取盧森堡球手穆勒的祖高域，第3圈遇上舒拉寶娃前男友、保加利亞球手迪米杜夫，在首盤陷入苦戰，多次被對方破發球，以4:6先敗一盤。第2盤，祖高域回復水準，以6:2扳回一盤。

決勝的第三盤，祖高域迅速領先3:0，雖然迪杜夫及後力追，但「一哥」最終有驚無險，以6:3取勝，反勝盤數2:1晉級，8強將會對克羅地亞的施歷。假如約高域無法躋身決賽，世界第一位置有可能被梅利取代。

至於二號種子梅利，則贏得十分輕鬆，以6:3、6:0輕取主場球手普爾利，殺入8強。
